Airport Parking Tips

Got any new airport parking tips? Especially the long-term kind of parking. Here’s a post from a recap shared by many of our members a few months ago:

  1. Ask your friends/family – to drop you off or pick you up at the airport. When it’s their turn to travel, we do the same for them. We’ve done on our somewhat longer vacations. – Jason
  2. My favorite lots at LAX are Sam’s Parking and Fox. When I come back from a trip, the car is readily waiting for me outside and I tend to find reasonable deals. – Jason
  3. Book a hotel for one night not far from the airport. Some of them has free parking for the duration, and make sure they have a shuttle – Ron Z
  4. Many airport hotels offer this or a discounted rate vs. parking at the airport. Everyone wins! And plus they have an airport shuttle usually, so that helps figure out which hotels would possibly offer this. They sometimes advertise it as a “Stay and Park” or “Park and Fly” rate. – Terina CM
  5. We do park and ride with Hilton. They offer a shuttle to the airport. We stay one night overnight so we don’t have the stress of driving down and the parking/hotel is not expensive. Works out for us – Martha MV

  7. I usually do park stay fly packages, depending how long I’ll be gone. I’ve found it doesn’t make sense to use points bc you’d still need to pay for parking – Claudia GI
  8. I have a love hate relationship with 405 parking location. It’s awesome for long term vacays. Not the best service but it saves me a lot of money compare to all of the other parking lots. – Yunel A
  9. I use my points to do a one way car rental. It works well for us. – Jennifer MP
  10. I recently used cheapestairportparking.com. I doubted the authenticity but it’s been great (when I don’t use my first option) – Jennifer MP
  11. I fly out of LAX often and use Spot Hero. It provides hotel parking for quite reasonable rates.. Hint: Don’t use self parking because we’ve found the parking lot is often full, or you end up parking on the top floor outside, so spend the dollar or so extra a day and do valet parking. Jackie G.
